The KTM 450 SX-F engine has received several revisions for 2019, including a more compact cylinder head that is both 15mm (about 0.6 inches) lower and 500 grams (just over 1 pound) lighter than the 2018 model, new exhaust system, Transmission Pankl, new 44mm throttle body, new ECU maps, new lithium-ion starter battery, reworked airbox and traction control settings and revised launch control.

The 2019 KTM SX-F 450 Factory Edition receives the following upgrades:
- Factory seat with Selle Dalla Valle logo
- Red Bull KTM Factory Racing 2019 graphics
- Updated suspension and engine settings
- Akrapovič Slip-on muffler
- Orange anodized factory fork triple trees
- Factory wheels with D.I.D. Dirt Star rims
- Factory start for the fork
- Composite skid plate
- Semi-floating front disc
- Front brake disc guard
- Orange rear sprocket (spoket)
